About Gene Berry
Gene Berry is Executive Counselor leading Info-Tech’s Life, Annuities, Group and Retirement vertical. Gene joined Info-Tech with over 35 years of experience in Insurance and Financial Services.
At OneAmerica Financial Partners, Gene was the SVP and CIO with enterprise responsibility for the Information Technology division, leading a team of 500+ technology professionals with a budget of $105M. As CIO Gene was responsible for all aspects of IT: Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis, Enterprise PMO, Architecture, Application Development and Maintenance, Infrastructure, and Security.
Gene also served on OneAmerica's Executive Counsel, helping develop and guide enterprise strategy, and led the acquisition of a claims TPA. He has selected and implemented numerous solutions to solve critical insurance issues and has extensive knowledge of systems that are used for policy administration, STP, recordkeeping, claims, and other insurance-related functions.
Gene also serves on the Board of Directors of the Rockingham Group, a regional P&C insurance holding company located in Virginia where he has held numerous roles, including Chairman of the Board. Gene is active in his local church and has previously served on the board of several non-profit organizations.
Gene earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from The Ohio State University and has an MBA in Finance from California State University, Fullerton. He also holds the following designations from the American College: Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and is Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL).
Gene and his wife Carolee enjoy cycling, skiing, hiking, and traveling, as well as spending as much time as possible with their adult children and grandchildren.
