About Sanchia Benedict
Practice Lead, Research Innovation
Sanchia leads Info-Tech’s research innovation practice focused on the development and launch of new research and product concepts. Her role involves the creation of Info-Tech's practical, tactical, and value-oriented research products to the benefit of our members' organizations.
Previously, Sanchia held several product management roles at Info-Tech including workshops, diagnostics, and concierge services. In her previous research roles, Sanchia developed Info-Tech’s IT strategy methodology and managed the creation and execution of Info-Tech’s leadership events. She also spearheaded Info-Tech’s Management Playbook program, designed to build better IT leaders and provide a strong foundation to elevate IT’s strategic efforts. She also managed Info-Tech Academy, an eLearning platform that drives video-based training and development for core IT processes. She covered key topics in the application portfolio and development space, including Agile development, DevOps, business analysis, quality assurance, cloud development, and other best practices within the software development lifecycle.
Prior to her career at Info-Tech, Sanchia leveraged her education in financial economics to support research roles in the financial services and IT space. She was engaged with the IBM Watson Project to provide investment research annotation to develop a cognitive financial tool. She also held a research position in the multinational coverage department at BNP Paribas. Sanchia holds an HBA from York University specializing in financial and business economics.
