About Nysa Zaran

Nysa Zaran is a research director at Info Tech Research Group and a trusted advisor to CIOs, CDOs, and senior leaders who are under pressure to prove real returns from their data and technology investments. With extensive experience leading teams across business operations, technology, and analytics, Nysa specializes in helping organizations move past data ambition and deliver measurable outcomes.

Before joining Info-Tech, Nysa led cross functional business and technology teams responsible for large-scale ERP, CRM, and data platform transformations in healthcare organizations serving Canada, the US, and the UK. Her work focused on execution and accountability – building governance models, data architectures, predictive analytics, and decision support capabilities that leaders could actually operate, fund, and defend based on results.

As a public speaker and facilitator, Nysa is known for challenging conventional thinking in data and analytics. She pushes back on maturity models, tool-centric strategies, and abstract notions of “data value,” focusing instead on how organizations assign ownership, make trade offs, and realize value in practice. Her work emphasizes outcomes over outputs, decisions over dashboards, and accountability over aspiration.

Nysa holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University and a Chief Data Officer certification from Carnegie Mellon University and is a graduate of Queen’s University.
