About Craig Smith

Craig Smith is a Principal Advisory Director at Infotech, where he advises clients on IT vendor contracts, price benchmarking, and negotiation assistance. He brings more than 20 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, and vendor management experience across the technology, financial services, and telecommunications sectors.

Before joining Infotech, Craig was Senior Director of Supply Chain at Worldpay, where he led sourcing and supply chain operations. He previously spent four years at DHI Group, Inc., as the company’s one-person procurement department, owning the function from end to end. His public sector experience includes serving as an IT Service Delivery Manager for the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology, and he has worked as an IT vendor management office consultant, giving him perspective on vendor management from both the government and enterprise sides.

Craig spent nearly a decade at Visa, first as Director of Global Sourcing for Information Technology and later as Director of Operations and Infrastructure. Earlier, as Director of Professional Services at Nicus Software, he led the professional services organization and managed contracts and deal enablement for customer agreements. At Level 3 Communications, he led IT vendor negotiations and delivered $3.7M in synergies by consolidating maintenance and support agreements inherited from four acquired companies.

Craig holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business. Boomer Sooner!
