About Amanda Harrison

Amanda is a twenty-five-year experienced IT & Cybersecurity leader in the public and private sector and her greatest passion comes from delivering excellence to customers. She has served as a Director, Information & Digital Services, Director of IT Programs to include Cybersecurity, and Business Development Director. She has specific expertise in IT Shared Services, IT Strategy, Cost, Vendor, and Asset Management, reporting millions of dollars in savings to customers.

For the past six years, Amanda led the Federal Aviation Administration’s Enterprise Services Center Information Technology & Cybersecurity Shared Services team of 600+ federal and contract resources supporting 35 public sector customers in Infrastructure and Operations, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Robotic Process Automation, and directed multiple new customer implementations onto the Department of Transportation’s Financial and Acquisition systems. This allowed her to directly collaborate with multiple CIOs, CFOs, CTOs, CDOs, and CAOs while leading the operations and maintenance of systems through integrated technologies. Her work in shared services is driven by a professional goal to ensure the use of public funds is effective and efficient by offering solutions that reduce and/or contain IT costs while keeping the technology environments safe from malicious actors through a defense-in-depth security mindset.

Amanda earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Southern Nazarene University. She also holds certifications in ITIL, LEAN/Agile, and PMP with specific expertise in Infrastructure, Platform, and Software-as-a-Service Programs to include cloud-suitable application migrations.

Her research interests include the combination of new technology, new technology delivery, and cost management of delivery to advance organizations with a focus on meeting their strategic initiatives.
