About John Leidl
John, as an Executive Advisor, is accountable for helping Info-Tech’s clients unlock their potential through maximizing the value they extract from their relationship with Info-Tech. John provides insights and guidance to technology and business leaders helping them leverage Info-Tech’s tools and resources to deliver true business value.
With over 30 years IT experience, including senior-level VP Technology and CTO leadership positions, John has a breadth of knowledge in technology innovation, business alignment, IT operations, and business transformation. John’s experience extends from start-ups to corporate enterprise and spans higher education, financial services, digital marketing, and arts/entertainment.
John came to Info-Tech Research Group having worked previously as the CTO at TUKU Inc., a start-up creating innovative digital solutions connecting brands to consumers, and prior, as CTO at the Ivey Business School at Western University where he was responsible for the strategic technology roadmap. Before joining Ivey, John served as VP Technology with TC Media (Transcontinental Inc.), leading teams that delivered digital solutions for Air Canada, Loblaw Companies Ltd., Best Buy, Hudson’s Bay Company, Duane Reade, Home Depot, and other retailers in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico. Prior to TC Media, John was a consulting firm partner and held senior and technical roles at the Stratford Festival of Canada, and TD Canada Trust.
John’s experience developing IT strategies, leading large digital transformations, and managing the deployment of mission-critical CRM, ERP, and ATM solutions, bring focus to the “IT as a partner” vision for technology organizations everywhere.
John holds an MBA degree from the Ivey School of Business and an Honours Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from Western University.
