Comprehensive software reviews to make better IT decisions
Ayehu Competes Based on Service
Ayehu is leveraging quality of service as a differentiator. Info-Tech expects that service will continue to become more important among software vendors.
IT automation vendor Ayehu recently announced a partnership with Finland-headquartered IT services company TietoEVRY.
In a briefing with Info-Tech Research Group, representatives of Ayehu and TietoEVRY explained that Ayehu’s quality of service was an important factor in the deal.
“This is something we hear again and again from our customers. We often find ourselves competing with larger vendors in the space. In many situations where we win head-to-head bake-offs, it comes down to our openness and responsiveness. We are a very flexible organization to partner with,” said Ido Sarig, Head of Global Marketing at Ayehu.
Competing head-to-head with larger software vendors is not for the faint of heart. It’s easier to demand tens of thousands a year in licensing fees if you have the name recognition of a large vendor. To stand out, specialist and up-and-coming software providers often have to rely on service to set them apart.
As software solutions continue to evolve and to become more commoditized, Info-Tech expects to see differentiation based on strategic partnerships and responsiveness to customer needs become more and more important in the marketplace.
If they have not already done so, enterprise IT professionals should include criteria about the vendor relationship in their evaluation of their existing technology environment and in their creation and scoring of requests for proposals (RFPs).
