What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
Slack has built a suite of features specifically for the IT professionals. Features like Huddle have eliminated the competition with the ease of setup.

Huddle is the most favorite aspect of Slack. Any query or ambiguity it's just a click away to interact and share the screen. Great feature it's.

Easy to use but pricey, not too competitive.

What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
The biggest competitor, that comes to mind is MS Teams. With that, MS Teams requires your organization to operate with MS licensing. While it can be convenient, it's also beneficial to be detached from your productivity suite. This is exactly what in my opinion differentiates Slack from MS Teams.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ease of administration is definitely one of my favorite aspects. Ease of integration with other applications (Zoom, Teams, etc.) is also beneficial and allows to notify users from within Slack
What do you dislike most about this product?
Inability to remove inactive users. Over the years we've accumulated a good amount of those, who left the organization. However as per my most recent conversation with Slack Tech Support team, there's no way to remove inactive accounts from Slack. Another one is cost, specifically, if you are looking to integrate with SSO. While I understand, that Slack has it's niche on the market, it should offer more competitive and attractive pricing to compete.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you use MS O365, then Slack is probably not needed in your organization. MS Teams delivers similar features and functions. However if you prefer to detach from your productivity suite, Slack is a go-to tool!
Pros
- Helps Innovate

- Performance Enhancing
Cons
- Vendor's Interest First
- Less Generous
