What differentiates Deltek Ajera from other similar products?

I like how Ajera allows a small business to manage projects effectively and easily capture costs. Ajera also addresses the entire business needs. The ability to add custom fields is also useful, though it is a Catch-22 because management believes that by adding custom fields, we can use this software for anything.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The most powerful feature of Ajera is its real-time integration. When an employee applies time to a job, Ajera immediately records the revenue, work in progress, and accrued cost. I can run interim financial reports throughout the month to compare our progress to the monthly forecast, compare where we are to where we should be, and make mid-course corrections as needed.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I miss the ability to drill down into the financials. That is, in my previous program, it was faster to get to the items that made up the number of my finances. When I first started using the program, I was able to click down on an item and keep going until I got to the general ledger entries.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ajera is simple to install and use. Most tasks can be completed without consulting a manual. The cloud version enables remote workers to easily access their time cards, expense reports, and job cost reports (if an employee is allowed that access). Accrual-basis and cash-basis accounting are also supported by the software.
