Barracuda Launches Cloud Security Guardian Integration With Amazon Detective
Cloud service providers (CSPs) are maturing their security portfolio offerings. Barracuda Networks has announced that its compliance orchestration platform, Cloud Security Guardian, is integrating with the Amazon Detective security service.
Amazon Detective is a new security service from Amazon Web Services (AWS) that automatically collects log data from your AWS resources and uses machine learning to rapidly identify the root cause of suspicious activities. The partnership allows Amazon to work toward the ultimate goal of providing security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR).

Companies should review their cyber risk posture and business requirements when transferring workloads to a cloud vendor. Determine the risk balancing act between yourself and your CSP, as the CSPs are likely to offer risk-reduction or risk-transfer capabilities as an add-on premium service. No big surprise here, as many security vendors realize a shift in their solutions must align to the adoption of cloud services offered today by the market-leading vendors. Expect all the major CSP players to collaborate with selected security vendors or make outright acquisitions.
