Comprehensive Software Reviews to make better IT decisions
Welcomed Training Provided by BigID
BigID launches a certification program, aimed to help users, administrators, and organizations demonstrate compliance.
The goal of the BigID Certification Program is to help organizations mitigate risk by training privacy professionals on the best practices of data discovery and privacy automation. The secondary benefit is organizations can use the same training framework to self-evaluate their teams.
The Certification program offers three tracks:
- BigID Certified Professional – focuses on all BigID knowledge domains including deployment, usage, operationalization, administration, and support of the platform
- BigID Certified User – focuses on BigID usage and operationalization
- BigID Certified Administrator – focuses on BigID deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting

The increase in demand for skilled, knowledgeable privacy professionals is driving vendors and certification bodies to provide new forms of training. In 2018, when evaluating their privacy programs, privacy leaders listed “development and training for privacy staff” as highly important.
Additionally, including end users as a training track is a savvy decision by BigID. A user training track increases BigID’s visibility across the organization, including those coveted non-privacy end users.
Training for end users is needed: when surveyed, nearly eight out of 10 organizations stated that training of employees (both privacy staff and end users) is a top GDPR compliance initiative (IAPP-EY Annual Privacy Governance Report 2018).
