What differentiates Mulesoft Anypoint Platform from other similar products?

Mulesoft offers complete package with number of features which may not be 100% unique but I would say they are more mature and stable as Mule iPAAS has been in the market for long time now and have gone through multiple revisions. Features like standard pre-delivered content with different ERPs, CRMs software for integration, B2B Partner Management, robust API design & management portal are some of unique features which are differentiator then other products in iPAAS space which still doesn't have complete package offering.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Good thing about the platform is number of prebuilt connectors for different systems like SAP, Salesforce, etc. which simplifies the integration and reduces the overall time to build and maintain these integrations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One thing which don't like about Mulesoft is costly training programs and exorbitant certification costs for professional developer and platform architect. I believe if trainings are offered at more affordable cost there will be wider acceptance of tool.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

During evaluations consider compare your requirements with features offered by Mulesoft like standard integration content, connectors, volume, security requirements, API management, etc. Once you have identified the fit for Mulesoft, it is important to have centralized IT team to support the API led development approach for success of building API microservices and support reusability across different verticals. Important factor for new project is to consider 3 tier environments to support testing and development in parallel.
