What differentiates Splunk IT Service Intelligence from other similar products?
The dashboards and alert correlation are probably the biggest strengths. This is helping my team visualize issues across applications and infrastructure in one place and reducing effort during troubleshooting. Integration with other tools is also pretty straightforward compared to many similar platforms, and the team is happy with the reduction in day-to-day operational effort. The service health views and automation features have also helped our team respond faster during incidents. We are spending less time checking alerts across different tools, which has made operations much easier for the team.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part is the dashboard visibility and alert correlation. It gives a good overall view of infrastructure and applications in one place, which helps the team identify issues faster and reduce manual effort during troubleshooting. I would recommend spending enough time on planning, integrations, and dashboard setup during implementation. Once configured properly, the platform can provide very good visibility and help reduce operational effort for support and monitoring teams. We also saw improvement in incident response because teams were able to identify issues faster instead of checking multiple tools separately.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Initial setup and tuning can take time, especially for larger environments. Some areas also need experienced resources to fully utilize all the features and integrations properly. One thing that differentiates it is the way it brings monitoring, alert correlation, dashboards, and service visibility together in a single platform. It helped our teams avoid switching between multiple tools during incident troubleshooting and operations support. The platform becomes much more effective once teams spend time understanding the dashboards, service dependencies, and alert tuning properly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend spending enough time on planning, integrations, and dashboard setup during implementation. Once configured properly, the platform can provide very good visibility and help reduce operational effort for support and monitoring teams. Another useful part is the flexibility in integrations and customization. We were able to align dashboards and alerts based on team requirements, which made it more useful for day-to-day operational monitoring from an operations perspective, Avail training read white papers from product site which will make you skilled enough to adopt and value add and reap benefits to full potential.

Very expensive, the KPI SEARCHES runs continuously adding load on underlying resources
