What differentiates Sumo Logic Application Observability from other similar products?
I’ve got to say, the way Sumo Logic integrates both log analysis and performance metrics
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I mean, as a data engineer, you know the chaos that ensues when something goes down and everyone’s scrambling to figure out what happened. With Sumo Logic, I don’t have to manually comb through the data because it practically waves a flag when something's off.
What do you dislike most about this product?
You find yourself clicking around a bit too much just to get the widgets and data points to line up the way you need them
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Get familiar with setting up custom alerts because that's where you can really leverage its strengths.

What differentiates Sumo Logic Application Observability from other similar products?
The biggest strength is how it brings logs, metrics, and traces together in one place. This removes the need to keep moving between different tools and helps teams get to the root of an issue faster. That combined view makes troubleshooting more reliable.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The tool really helps in keeping an eye on how applications behave and it makes problems easier to spot before they get out of hand. The dashboards are clear and easy to follow, which makes day-to-day monitoring smoother. It gives a sense of control over performance.
What do you dislike most about this product?
When the data volume grows, the system can feel a bit slow at times. Getting everything set up in the beginning also takes more effort than expected, and it can be a little overwhelming for new team members. This slows down the first few weeks of use.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Making the onboarding smoother and the setup process simpler would make a huge difference. Once it is properly in place, it proves to be a solid choice for monitoring applications. More step-by-step guidance for beginners would be a welcome addition.
