In respect to business intelligence (BI) matureness, you can’t expect the whole organization to be at the same place at the same time. Your reporting and analytics strategy needs to recognize this and should strive to align rather than dictate.

Your reporting and analytics strategy must support the organization’s strategy – it provides direction and requirements for data accumulation, augmentation, and consumption and paves the way for self-service BI and predictive analytics supporting actual business needs.

Technology is just one aspect of your reporting and analytics strategy and is not a quick solution or a guarantee for long-term success.
