The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) delivery model provides a faster and more cost effective alternative for enterprises to implement and operate enterprise apps. IT managers that want to consider SaaS must first assess the appropriateness of this model for their enterprise.

This tool includes:

  • Questions. A total of ten questions that address specific areas that decision makers must watch to determine whether or not to pursue SaaS. As the IT manager responds to the questions, this tool automatically calculates the overall appropriateness score.
  • An appropriateness assessment section. This section analyzes the overall score and provides a final answer about the suitability of SaaS for the enterprise. This section also recommends next steps for the IT decision maker to move forward, depending on each course of action.

SaaS isn't appropriate for every enterprise. Understand the basics of the technology and use this tool to help decide if SaaS can play a role in the organization.
