Comprehensive software reviews to make better IT decisions
BA World Toronto 2019 – Have You Heard of Friendly Enough Expression Language?
FEEL, or the Friendly Enough Expression Language, is a business user-friendly language for modeling decisions in the Decision Model Notation. Trisotech’s recent enhancements to its requirements and process management tool more readily create decision models and the related data to support IT delivery.
I had a chance to catch up with Trisotech at BA World Toronto this week (May 27-30). The company shared recent released enhancements to its FEEL so that it can be used for business process modeling as well as decision modeling. This helps stakeholders understand the models as part of their project and product delivery business analysis practices.
This is a valuable addition to the toolset. BAs must communicate clearly to multiple audiences, and business language is the best language for ensuring understanding across stakeholder groups. Coupled with established standards like BPMN and DMN, this clarity helps drive better business analysis. Who cares? Everyone should, as our research shows that better quality assurance and business analysis are the key drivers of application delivery throughput.
