I havnt used any other product. But for this, it gives me all i need for my seamless backup solution. better i stay with it.

What differentiates Veeam Data Platform from other similar products?

Veeam provides easy setup and continue stable backup service to VMware ESXi or Workstation Virtual machine and physical file server.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

reliable service and easy restoration

What do you dislike most about this product?

File backup report doesn't have details of backed up file name and path.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Our security policy disable servers to connect internet, so that Veeam will have license key update error. Hope Veeam user portal can province offline license key file for download so that I can upload to local Veeam server to update license key info

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Automated Backup Testing and Verification Goes beyond monitoring whether backup jobs completed by verifying the integrity of data restoration.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.
