Less Email, More Progress
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
Slack helped us move away from long email threads and scattered updates into something more immediate. Channels organized by project, store region, or function make conversations easier to follow, and information does not get buried as quickly. For IT operations, that visibility helps issues get noticed and resolved faster.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The strength lies in how naturally it fits into daily workflow. File sharing, quick calls, and searchable message history reduce the need to switch between tools. Threads keep discussions organized, which helps when multiple conversations happen at once.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Message overload can become a problem if channels are not managed carefully, and notifications need some tuning to avoid distraction.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The impact on collaboration has been significant. Faster communication means faster problem solving. I often recommend Slack to other retail IT teams that want communication to feel active and structured without becoming chaotic.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Ease of customization when it comes to my profile settings, notably how I receive notifications, my statuses, and automated reminders.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Nothing comes to mind beyond the expected temporary outages.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Slack is a great fit for teams big and small as it's ready to meet you wherever you're at and has lots of functionality even at lower subscription levels. I'd also consider what integrations are important to your team and see if they will work natively with Slack.
