What differentiates Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention from other similar products?
We enforced time based mostly internet use. At lunch hour non work connected websites were liberated to use and other parts of the day staff had ½ hour to freely surf. Setting this informed Websense was a breeze and helped cut back initial complaints from end users throughout implementation. One more bonus of Websense was the ad/pop-up blocking.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It does a good job at stopping users from going to “infected” sites and sites that are undesirable. It’s a great range of flexibility and features. We’ve used it to lock down a server “production” laptop that require only a restricted amount of access to internet sites. It permits us to additionally filter by user/group/domain and even ip address or range. Implementation was a bit rough however once the merchandise is up and running it’s terribly stable.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It doesn’t filter Citrix users well. We are still operating around a user authentication issue on the Citrix boxes. This has not been resolved since we put in the appliances. I’ve contacted support many times and have received conflicting responses. Nobody has been ready to resolve the issue. Support could be a joke at the moment. Support employees have told us they’re unsure whether they can lose their jobs so they aren’t performing 100%.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Support has considerably improved. If you had asked me a year ago, if I might advocate force point, I might have said no. We’ve practiced some problems with our Citrix environment but although that it’s some nice options that we are exploiting and others that we have yet to implement.

What differentiates Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention from other similar products?
Forcepoint has robust merchandise in area of information leakage, mail\cloud security, net filtering. We’ve got been using multiple products (DLP, websense, casb, RFT) solutions since years without having any major problems or security incidents. Forcepoint products has the potential and flexibility to outline DLP and internet filtering policies according to organization requirements.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Forcepoint is one in all the best information loss prevention app out there within the market. It helps secure sensitive data from leaking. It blocks the user from causing confidential data outside the organization. It’s deployed across our all organization. We will also block access to certain websites that are potentially dangerous and may result in data loss or malware attack. Simple to deploy and it is terribly effective in data loss prevention. Runs in background without overwhelming plenty of memory. Additionally offers email security, website filter and OCR.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Product isn’t versatile in detection rules. Anytime you’ve got to get the daily report back to see the incident, no dashboard to point out real-time incidents. Product support is a very little delayed. The implementation is harder than we initially thought. It might be nice to simply add the solution that needs seamless implementation.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I favor the database procedure for DLP. I can point it to a dB Table of my sensitive client information and use that to look for information loss. The news feature has additionally been helpful as we can set up different levels of alert for various users and different amounts of sensitive data. The alerts are sent to the offensive user, their manager, and also the security officer, or any combination.
Pros
- Reliable
- Trustworthy
- Unique Features
- Effective Service
