Build the Accountability That Makes Service Orchestration Possible – Storyboard

Author(s): Diana MacPherson

Use this framework to:

  • Identify and define an initial service. Select a service where ownership can demonstrate visible value and define its outcome, customers, boundaries, and dependencies.
  • Identify and empower your service owner. Select someone with the capabilities and mindset the role requires, confirm their willingness, and give them the authority to act.
  • Design the structures that sustain service ownership. Back the owner with a named sponsor, an escalation path, boundary commitments, regular review, success measures, and a roadmap.
