This stage gate checklist allows the IT department to determine if it is ready to take on the task of improving its application maintenance processes. To use this checklist:
- Revise the list of identified measures
- Fill in the checkboxes where the project meets the indicated measure
- Where the project does not meet the indicated measure, decide whether to accept or address that deficiency
- Keep completed forms for each year, as well as the associated documentation, to demonstrate proof of improvement
IT leaders are encouraged to review this checklist with business representatives to ensure that both sides are on the same page with respect to proceeding with the optimization project.
