GoToWebinar Introduces “Accept Payments” Feature

Hosting paid webinars is the bread and butter of many businesses in the advisory and consultancy space. GoToWebinar has always been an option for those users to host their webinars, but it required additional solutions and processes for users to collect payments from attendees.

Now an update to the GoToMeeting product will add an Accept Payments screen to their meeting workflow. GoToMeeting says the setup time is just ten minutes, and it offers multiple payment options as well as custom discounts or promotions. Payment processing is done by partner Stripe and offers fraud protection.

Just like using GoToWebinar, the software doesn’t require any coding knowledge or third-party integrations to manage.

Our Take

GoToWebinar users will appreciate native integration of payments into the software. Many clients are likely to be setting up jerry-rigged workarounds to make their paid webinars work, including integrations facilitated by Zapier. Having one place to manage the entire workflow of hosting a webinar and collecting payments should be enough for existing GoToWebinar users to shift their process and will be a nice differentiator for clients considering a solution for hosting paid webinars.
