What is Oracle Managed File Transfer?

Oracle Managed File Transfer (Oracle MFT) enables secure file exchange and management with internal departments and external partners. It protects against inadvertent access to unsecured files at every step in the end-to-end transfer of files. It is easy to use especially for non technical staff so you can leverage more resources to manage the transfer of files. The built in extensive reporting capabilities allow you to get quick status of a file transfer and resubmit it as required.

What differentiates Oracle Managed File Transfer from other similar products?

Files are encrypted in transit and at rest with full audit trails and access controls. Seamlessly integrates with Oracle b2b and Oracle fusion middle ware. Ideal for enterprises already invested in Oracle technologies

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It gives IT teams full control over who is sending what , when and where reducing compliance and operational risks

What do you dislike most about this product?

Its less convenient if you are using non-oracle systems or cloud services. It requires dedicated infrastructure making it heavy for small teams. It has limited community support

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Take advantage of built in encryption and use built in dashboards and alerts to catch failed or delayed transfers , especially important for SLAs with partners

What differentiates Oracle Managed File Transfer from other similar products?

The automation is really well as it let me schedule the file transfer.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It support multiple types of file transfer protocols which makes it more useful to use and I can integrate it with other tools to enhance the performance.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The troubleshooting is not an easy task to do so and I wish it could have modern user interface.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend that monitor the transfer activity so you can get the better insights.
