Works great if you're all in with Oracle.
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Oracle Commerce from other similar products?
Their roadmap is legitimately fantastic - AI implementations, predictive algorithms, and an easy to use backend for A/B testing sets it apart. They actually take constructive feedback from both clients and prospective clients and are relatively quick to innovate.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
When it works, it works well. By implementing this, replacing our homegrown system, the UX was drastically improved and led to substantially higher sales very, very quickly.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It doesn't always play nice with others - you absolutely need an implementation partner, and getting it to work even with other Oracle systems became extraordinarily difficult. While some of this was on us in our poor planning, we were unable to integrate with all of the systems we wanted to (or intended to) immediately - and required some ad-hoc systems in place until we could fix all the connection and field issues.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
You definitely need to plan well ahead and make abundantly clear exactly what you want to do and how you want something to work in excruciating detail, then do not deviate from your plan (or statement of work). It'll cascade down implementation and you'll be left with more fees a longer timeline and something that may not work entirely as you'd hoped or expected.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Efficient Service
- Effective Service
Cons
- Vendor Friendly Policies

What differentiates Oracle Commerce from other similar products?
It is way nimbler than most commerce products. Its simplicity makes it better fit for B2B. CPQ,OCC,Subscription cloud seamlessly integrate with each other with minimal effort and facilitate an ecosystem for modern commerce. The improvement of Oracle commerce has been quite significant in an year - from bust to boom.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ecosystem of CPQ, OCC and subscription cloud and the newere OSF framework in a development standpoint.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I encountered some database level bugs which were a pain and needed assistance from Oracle.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is a great product for the B2B world. Also fits the B2C world seamlessly. There is no need to hire specialist developers. Strong Javascript or React resources could get most things up and running
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Inspires Innovation
- Client Friendly Policies
- Fair
