Significant ramp up time to deploy and assimilate.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Perform an internal assessment of how ready you are to begin using Jira. If project management and IT management processes are not present, they will need to be defined prior to implementing Jira.

What differentiates Jira from other similar products?

Jira seems to be well ahead of any competition due to the name they build for itself and the resources they invest in innovation

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy project management and visibility it provides into what teams are working on

What do you dislike most about this product?

Reporting could be better - it's not that easy to find the information you need, like answers to questions about what's the current load on the team and team members - Jira has reporting capabilities, but the filters are hard to write.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For a smaller team, this may be overkill, but definitely a must-have as the team and company grow.
