What differentiates Google Forms from other similar products?
The API and Scripting. It is also possible with Google Apps Script to programmatically generate forms, generate dropdown options at a specified time by filling with an actual running database, or post information in our Slack channels with real-time updated information in the case of a technologically advanced marketing department. Others provide you with integrations but Google offers you with keys of the engine and you are able to create your own workflows. This is the reason why we can consider Google Forms as a block in our marketing compound stack and not as a tool.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Its hidden tool is the Pre-filled URL. It is possible to make personalized e-mail to our clients whose name and company are already filled in the form. This makes them have a significant level of their friction decreased and the response rates are doubled. It is an elaborate marketing appliances that are added to an extremely ugly looking appliance. It is embedded with the Response Validation that guarantees that we receive good quality leads that are already crosslinked in our existing database record and also our sales personnel do not require filling it with any hand data.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The summary of dashboard of responses is excessive. I would also insist that a client is given a right to access the entire form (this would allow him/her to edit it) in case I would like to talk to him/her about the results or simply provide him/her with the Google sheet (this will ruin his/her mind). The dashboard of professional appearance is not available to be viewed only. In a bid to render the results to the stakeholders in a structured format, I tend to take hours in order to move the information to a slide deck, or a tailor made web page.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Google formation is a monster as long as you have a programmer or at least a human being that will not be threatened by something so shallow as a which-this-then-that programming. Put it on your high volume lead capture and internal feedback. The restraint of the styling can be deemed to be too restrictive when it comes to intrusion with respect to the brand UX, and in a scenario where speed is one of the main opportunities in a strictly data-driven marketing, Google Forms may be chosen because of its high reliability and prospects of automatization.
Pros
