I will developer-first simplicity, ease of use, and they have lots of articles and blogs to explain and tutor anyone on usage of their products
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It is very convenient to deploy simple web apps and SaaS products which involves their droplets and managed db.
What do you dislike most about this product?
When it comes to features of product at high scale, some things may be missing and the limited region/multi-region capabilities that i mentioned earlier
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would say if you are a startup, freelance developer that actually don't like stress, you value simplicity, ease of use, and speed. You also need predictable monthly costs (as against on demand of AWS), then you should consider Digital Ocean

DigitalOcean: The Perfect Cloud for Developers
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates DigitalOcean from other similar products?
Fewer service offerings but more clarity less bewildering choices. This reduces configuration and operational overhead and Fixed, flat‑rate pricing for many core components, so you generally know what you will pay. They provide managed versions of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB etc.), managed Kubernetes, block & object storage, etc. That lets users offload operational burdens on infrastructure.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
DigitalOcean strikes a rare balance — it gives developers just enough infrastructure and managed services to build real applications fast, without overwhelming them with the complexity that comes with platforms like AWS or Azure. Quick setup: You can launch a droplet (VM) in under a minute. Clean UI: Their interface is modern, intuitive, and doesn’t hide critical settings under endless menus. For startups, solo developers, or lean engineering teams, that simplicity saves time, reduces operational load, and still lets you scale meaning
What do you dislike most about this product?
Granular scalability options or auto-scaling features that are native and deeply configurable
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Spin up a Droplet (or use the App Platform) to test performance, latency, and features. Use their free credits (if available) to experiment without risk. Validate whether key things you need (database performance, backups, connectivity) satisfy your expectations and Estimate how much traffic, CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth you’ll need in 6‑12 months, not just at the start.
