What differentiates Broadleaf Commerce from other similar products?
Broadleaf uses a best of breed approach to the structure of the software. They allow customization of any part of the framework using the defacto standard Java devlelopment framework. Any Java developer will be able to bring instant value to the project.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ease of customization. Any part of the software can be customized without significant effort. You can also decide to skip parts of the software that your company doesn't need.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I have to maintain the infrastructure. It requires the use of several other open source products to work and bring in features.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you are building a custom commerce implementation with complicated and unique rules. this is your best option. You will need Java developers to maintain the application so it's something to consider.
