Payroll management is expensive. For manufacturers with a heavy reliance on punch card-based time and attendance systems, these costs are prone to bloating. Trim the bloat caused by fraud and other factors by implementing a biometric time and attendance system.
Components to the System
Biometric time and attendance systems have two primary components: the reader(s) and the software.
- The readers generally take one of two formats: either fingerprint or hand geometry. Contaminant buildup on fingerprint readers can limit effectiveness, so hand geometry readers are proving more popular.
- The software is integrated with the reader and eliminates all other problems. The system is programmed with employee pay information (e.g. rate of pay) such that the computerized payroll calculations occur instantaneously and error-free.
