The Chief Privacy Officer's role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and supporting initiatives critical to the organization's information privacy practices. This individual directs the development and implementation of policies and procedures regarding the privacy of, and access to, all company-related information. This includes information concerning clients, customers, partners, employees, business practices and operations, and enterprise IT systems. The Chief Privacy Officer is also responsible for ensuring that the organization's privacy practices are in accordance and compliance with all applicable local, state/province/county, federal, and industry-specific laws and regulations.
