Tableau has a massive capability of creating meaningful visualisations according to the requirements of the business. It can connect to data sources, process the data, perform necessary aggregations and calculations and finally allow insightful visualisations. It can analyse huge volumes of data to extract insights and consequently lead the organisation towards a more data-driven decision making culture.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
User-friendly and intuitive UI similar to a canvas. It has the functionality of automated data refresh for near real-time reporting. Provision of providing access to all or some reports according to the user's role in the organisation. Customised visualisations and ad hoc reporting capability. Perform advanced analytics to uncover insights from the data.
What do you dislike most about this product?
License fees could be an obstacle for small enterprises running small projects.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
This software can increase the efficiency of business processes tremendously and add massive value to businesses, it can connect to multiple data sources ranging from flat files to cloud servers. It has a huge impact on the reporting capability of the organisations.

What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?
Tableau is very good at visualizing data and easy to develop applications; however it loses a lot in relation to its biggest competitor, Qlik Sense, but it is far superior to Power BI.

The data modeling capabilities still need to be faster and more efficient.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Perform load and development tests and compare with other competitors, such as: Power BI, Qlik Sense or Sisense.
