What differentiates Sophos Firewall from other similar products?
We are utilizing Sophos endpoint in all our servers. So, Sophos firewall allows direct integration with Sophos Endpoint for automated threat response. Sophos offered free centralized management with Sophos central making administration easier compared to many competitors. The architecture provides SSL/TLS inspection without major performance impact, which is a challenge for many other firewalls.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of Sophos Firewall is synchronized security feature. It allows the firewall to directly communicate with Sophos Endpoint which makes threat detection and response much faster.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike most about the licensing model because certain security modules required additional licenses.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Before choosing Sophos firewall, make sure you clearly define your security requirements and compare the available license bundles.
