What differentiates Red Hat Openshift from other similar products?

OpenShift sets itself apart with its enterprise-grade Kubernetes offering, integrated CI/CD tools (like OpenShift Pipelines), and built-in security features. The platform’s focus on automation, developer experience, and hybrid cloud readiness provides an edge over plain Kubernetes.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The robust security features, such as built-in compliance controls, Service Mesh, and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (ACS) integration, are excellent. Also, its support for operators makes application management and upgrades easier.

What do you dislike most about this product?

OpenShift can be resource-intensive and complex, requiring significant infrastructure and expertise to deploy and manage effectively, especially in smaller environments.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Consider OpenShift if you're looking for an enterprise-grade, secure Kubernetes solution, especially in hybrid or multi-cloud environments. It's powerful but requires planning and investment in both infrastructure and skill development.

What differentiates Red Hat Openshift from other similar products?

I have not used and other product similar to openshift.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like that we get the console for the openshift rather than in kubernetes.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I dont think if theirs any flaw.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Its good for managing our applications effectively and efficiently.

What differentiates Red Hat Openshift from other similar products?

OpenShift is Kubernetes 2.0. the process I will call "manual", the maintenance of of Kubernetes pods, OpenShift takes it one step further, in terms of readily available support from RedHat, openshift is top tier .

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The UI arrangement is logical right, it just makes sense.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The knowledge gap is there, although the architecture is built on Kubernetes. There is still a knowledge gap

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need upmost access to support and automation for containerized applications, go for OpenShift
