What differentiates CARTO from other similar products?

It works well with 3rd party javascript libraries like leaflet.js, and when I last used it they had a free option limited to 1 layer - but with no other restrictions. It was nice because you can do pretty much everything you want with a single layer if you are willing to write javascript to customize the map.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Javascript extensibility.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The dashboard editor is a little confusing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't be afraid to use javascript to customize your map, you can do some really cool stuff that isn't really possible by just using the built in map designer.

What differentiates CARTO from other similar products?

It's so simple to put a visualisation together. You focus on the data, and your problem domain. Carto looks after the rest.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

So simple to use the interface for examining visualisations that are produced. Easy to add some conditional styling.

What do you dislike most about this product?

More styling options would be great!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Start out with some internal visualisations to really get a handle on what this can do.
