What differentiates Ahrefs from other similar products?
What stands out for me is the amount of competitor and backlink data available in one place. I use Site Explorer quite a bit when I want to understand why a competitor is getting traffic and which pages or keywords are actually working for them. The backlink data is also one of the stronger parts of Ahrefs. It makes competitor research much easier compared with having to piece the same information together from different tools.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like how easy it is to check competitor keywords, backlinks and top pages in one place. It saves me a lot of time during SEO research, also find the site audit useful for quickly spotting technical SEO issues that need attention.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The pricing can feel high for smaller SEO budgets, and some useful data is limited depending on the plan, which can be frustrating, also feel that some of the useful data is limited depending on the plan you are on.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would recommend it if SEO is a regular part of your work and you need detailed competitor and backlink data. It is especially useful for keyword research, competitor analysis and finding content opportunities. Take some time to explore the different reports because there is a lot of data available. Also, check the pricing and plan limits first to make sure it fits your budget and actual needs.
