What differentiates Acterys from other similar products?
Acterys uses standardized data models instead of proprietary data stores. It makes it easy to manage and govern data. Acterys tightly integrates with Microsoft Power Platform, allowing us to plan, forecast, write back, and visualize data natively within those familiar tools. It eliminates the need for separate reporting and planning portals.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One of the most amazing things in Acterys is how it brings enterprise planning and performance management directly into the tools we already use every day, especially Microsoft Power BI and Excel. Instead of forcing us into a completely new interface or reporting portal like many traditional EPM tools do, it plans directly in Power BI dashboards. I can enter budgets and forecasts inside visuals and see live updates.
What do you dislike most about this product?
While Acterys integrates planning into tools like Power BI and Excel very well, it doesn’t yet offer a fully comprehensive, built-in collaboration and workflow module comparable to some other EPM platforms.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Acterys thrives when teams are already familiar with Power BI and Excel. If your organization uses these tools widely, then it decreases training time, adoption increases, and employees feel more comfortable with planning tasks.

What differentiates Acterys from other similar products?
We were looking at something which fit in with our use of Microsoft PowerBi while providing better reporting than Xero or Excel had to offer. Its a good product for the cost and while it took a bit of time to set everything up correctly, it gets a lot of use.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
That we have the ability to see the data in multi-currency and can select multiple countries, adding in consol eliminations or seeing standalone.
What do you dislike most about this product?
We have a lot of data and wanted comparisons for the previous years. It took a while to implement and we had to consider a data storage solution given the volume of data required.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If using this for global reporting and consolidation, make sure your chart of accounts and how you wish to categorise departments are already setup. This will significantly speed up implementation
