This calendar template has two primary functions:
- It keeps both HR and the hiring manager on track in terms of where they are in the recruiting process, what still needs to be done, and whether they are ahead or behind schedule.
- It sets the hiring manager’s expectations for recruiting timelines by illustrating the steps that need to be taken to properly onboard a new employee. The hiring manager will be less likely to complain that the process is taking too long if they understand all of the steps involved.
This template should be filled out by HR at the beginning of the recruitment process (i.e. when a hiring need is identified by the manager and communicated to HR) and shared with the manager.
