Microsoft's Internet Information Services (IIS) provides the necessary software to facilitate Web hosting, E-mail hosting, File Transfer Protocol (FTP) hosting, and other Internet services. IIS occupies 54% of the Fortune 1000 market, according to research by Port80 Software. Version 7 is already available in the Vista Beta 2 release, and will be included in Windows "Longhorn" Server (expected by the end of 2007).
