Info-Tech's Portfolio Manager Lite 2017 is a lightweight version of Info-Tech's Portfolio Manager 2017, a spreadsheet-based PPM solution that leverages powerful business intelligence capability that already exists in your computer. This workbook will help you quickly implement a solution to maintain resource capacity data and create reports with powerful portfolio analytics through the following activities:
- Manage resources' total available capacity, their absences, and the amount of time spent on non-project work.
- Allocate percentages of resource time to project work to establish a single book of records, so that there's clarity in how to spend time in both management and resource layers.
- Track project timelines and display projects at risk.
- Visualize resource levels across projects, teams, and roles.
This tool requires Excel 2013 with Power Query version 2.64 or greater (a free add-on available from Microsoft), or Excel 2016.

The Portfolio Manager Lite 2017 requires Excel 2013 with Power Query add-on version 2.46 or higher (free download provided by Microsoft), or Excel 2016 (all editions). Customizations that involve the maintenance of the data model may require Power Pivot, available on select editions of Excel. Consult your IT department or Microsoft’s documentation for more information on the add-in’s availability.
