The System Database Administrator is to be responsible for the support aspects of database management.
Some of these responsibilities include tasks such as:
- Database installation, patching, and performance tuning
- Operational activities (back-up & restore)
- Ensure database security
The "logical" elements of database management are not included in the responsibilities of the System Database Administrator.
