Governments around the world are looking to employ blockchain-based solutions to a persistent problem: international travel. One idea, pitched at the World Economic Forum in 2018 and embraced by the Government of Canada, is the Known Traveler Digital Identity Project, which would allow trusted entities to write to a permissioned blockchain, assisting in the verification of international travelers.
