As satellite imagery becomes more freely available, the use of an un-piloted aerial vehicle (UAV) to record complementary footage becomes more attractive. Tribes looking to initiate or expand their land management program should definitely consider employing UAVs as a cost-effective and flexible solution for geographic information system imagery.
