Oracle’s Unlimited License Agreement (ULA) has become a favored tool of Oracle account reps as it provides the customer with the right to deploy and use a specified set of Oracle programs on an unlimited basis for a set term. Many of Oracle’s customers may be surprised to find out that while they are indeed allowed to deploy these licenses in certain public cloud environments, this right ends upon termination of the ULA and the subsequent certification process with Oracle, which will define the authorized license count moving under support.
