A recent report from CBS news ("Digital Photocopiers Loaded With Secrets") demonstrated the vulnerability of modern printers to information retrieval. Most large printers, since 2002, contain physical hard drives used to queue up items to be printed, scanned, copied, faxed and e-mailed by the machine.
In an experiment conducted by CBS News and security company Digital Copier Security, four used printers were purchased and inspected.

Wow! Very Interesting.
This is definitely a concern considering the amount of data that can be stored in hard drives these days.
