CIOs must engineer IT popularity and satisfaction by leveraging an understanding of psychological concepts in order to create hit products. Otherwise, they risk being sidelined in the executive ranks. Lack of stakeholder satisfaction and the perception that IT “keeps the lights on” are the core drivers that sideline IT executives.
