For decades, touch-screen technology has been the catalyst for the creation of interactive displays that simplify end-user computing. The touch-screen interface has increased efficiency in devices that simplify data entry and accessibility across industry lines.

Touch-Screen Devices and the Workplace

Although touch-screen displays have a long history of deployment in certain verticals such as retail (i.e. touch screen Point of Sale (PoS) terminals), devices featuring the popular touch-screen technologies of the late 1990s and early twenty-first century were limited in their usability.
