Use a Step-by-Step Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for simple processes that can be outlined in fewer than a dozen steps. This type of SOP consists of point-form directions that tend to be confined to one or two pages. Step-by-Step SOPs are often used to reset a password, synchronize local files with a network share, or to outline sub-processes within a more complex SOP.
