Use a Hierarchical Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to combine larger processes and simple step-by-step instructions. This type of SOP has both the detail and the larger outline of the process. Hierarchical SOPs are best suited for procedures such as the on-boarding of new employees and imaging or configuring a server or workstation to an organizational standard.
