Without on-going server resource monitoring, the first indication of a performance issue may be when application response jumps from one or two seconds to 10 or 20 seconds. By proactively monitoring servers, potential problems may be identified and rectified before they impact application performance.

Keep the Application Performing

The key to knowing when and if a server is no longer performing adequately is the responsiveness of the applications on that computer. However, proactive monitoring of server resources, not just the application, provides advance warning of an impending slow-down in the application and the need to modify, upgrade, or replace a server.
